Crowe, Cavill Set for Highlander Reboot

Russell Crowe has officially joined Henry Cavill in the Highlander reboot, directed by Chad Stahelski. Crowe will portray Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez, the immortal mentor originally played by Sean Connery, while Cavill stars as Connor MacLeod. The film is backed by Amazon MGM Studios and United Artists, with production set to begin in the fall. While a theatrical release is planned, no specific date has been announced. The reboot aims to broaden the story's mythology, introduce new characters, and explore wider settings, potentially paving the way for a franchise revival and a new TV series. This project also reunites Cavill and Crowe, who previously played father and son in Man of Steel.
