Rare 1979 Marvel Hulk Stretch Toy Expected To Fetch £5,000 At UK Auction

A rare 1979 stretch toy figure of Marvel's Hulk, produced by renowned toy-maker Denys Fisher, is set to be auctioned by Excalibur Auctions in Hertfordshire. Only about 30 examples of this original Hulk stretch figure are known to exist, and the one being sold comes directly from its original owner, preserved in mint condition with its original packaging and instructions. The toy, manufactured in Thorp Arch, West Yorkshire, was sold in limited quantities in the UK, featuring unique green skin coloring and Marvel branding distinct from the related Stretch Armstrong line. Filled with corn syrup to enable stretching, the figure has never been played with and retains original chalk dust on its surface, indicating it was kept out of light and upright over the years. The auction house expects the toy to fetch between £3,000 and £5,000, highlighting its excellent provenance and rarity as highly desirable for collectors. This will be the first time the figure has been offered on the market since it was purchased in 1979.
