£2M Investment for Huyton Village Regeneration

The Huyton Village regeneration project has received a £2m investment from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as part of a £163m plan to revitalize Huyton town centre. The first phase will focus on developing 72 affordable homes, a 130-bed hotel, office space, and a community hub with a library, while also demolishing old council buildings to free up nearly seven acres for new developments. This investment aims to create vibrant green spaces and improve facilities, generating an estimated £62m for the local economy. Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram emphasized that the project is designed to bring jobs and businesses back to the town centre. Future phases will introduce additional commercial space and 300 new homes, further enhancing the area's infrastructure. Knowsley Council leaders are optimistic about the long-term economic and social benefits this initiative will bring to Huyton and the wider region.
