Tennessee Mother Charged with Murdering Two Children

Jessica Chandler, a 28-year-old woman from Johnson City, has been charged with the murders of her 1-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter, following their deaths earlier this week. Authorities found the children unresponsive at their home, where Chandler was also discovered with self-inflicted cuts and brandishing a knife. The investigation revealed that she left three handwritten notes implicating herself in the killings. Police suspect the children were poisoned, as there were no visible wounds and foam was found at their mouths and noses. Chandler was first taken to a hospital under police surveillance and has since been transferred to the Washington County Detention Center. Final autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
