Jacksonville Police Arrest Suspect in June Copeland's Fatal Shooting

Josiah Luis Martinez, 24, was arrested in connection with the June 11 fatal shooting of Kenneth Mobley outside Copeland's of New Orleans in Jacksonville. Mobley, who was shot in the chest in the restaurant's parking lot, was taken to a hospital but later pronounced dead. Authorities reported that Mobley was at the restaurant to meet someone, though the purpose of the meeting remains unclear. Several people were detained as suspects and witnesses interviewed on the day of the shooting. The incident prompted a significant police response, including the use of a helicopter, drone, and K-9 units. No motive or relationship between Martinez and Mobley has been disclosed.
