Man Charged in Ex-Girlfriend Shooting Incident

Jonah Lowe, a 27-year-old man from Royal Oak, has been charged with multiple felonies, including first-degree home invasion and assault, after allegedly shooting his ex-girlfriend in Madison Heights. The incident occurred on October 12, when Lowe reportedly broke into the woman's home and confronted her with a gun upon her return while she was carrying her 2-year-old daughter. In self-defense, the woman managed to stab Lowe in the neck with a kitchen knife, but he shot her in the leg as she fled the scene. Both individuals were treated for their injuries, with the woman in stable condition and Lowe also expected to recover. Lowe is currently held on a $1 million bond, and the investigation is ongoing. The police are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
