Waterbury Man Arrested After Nightclub Shooting

Edwin Henriquez-Vasquez, 30, was arrested following a shooting outside the Stanley Billar Club in Waterbury, Connecticut, that left a 24-year-old man in critical but stable condition. The incident, which occurred around 1:10 a.m., stemmed from a disturbance inside the club. Henriquez-Vasquez fled the scene but was apprehended after a single-vehicle crash on I-84, where police found an illegal ghost gun with a high-capacity magazine in his possession. Henriquez-Vasquez, who has a prior conviction barring him from owning firearms, faces multiple felony charges including first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and illegal possession of a firearm. He is currently held on a $1.5 million bond pending arraignment.
