Magnussen retains Haas roles for 2025 despite race seat loss

Kevin Magnussen will remain associated with Haas in a test and development capacity for the 2025 Formula 1 season after losing his race seat. Despite the team opting for a new driver line-up featuring Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman, team boss Ayao Komatsu confirmed that Magnussen will participate in the Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) program and utilize Toyota's simulator. Magnussen expressed satisfaction with his new role, indicating he was not actively seeking to continue in F1 and is focused on racing in the World Endurance Championship with BMW as well. His involvement with Haas will include some reserve driver responsibilities during race weekends, contingent on his other commitments. Additionally, Komatsu announced that Laura Müller will be the first female race engineer in F1, assigned to work with Ocon. The partnership with Toyota allows Haas to enhance its testing capabilities significantly, further integrating Magnussen into their plans.
