Aberdeen Man Dies in Bus Collision
A tragic incident occurred on Thursday morning when a 33-year-old Aberdeen man was fatally struck by a northbound Grays Harbor Transit bus on State Route 115 near Ocean City State Park. Witnesses reported the pedestrian dodging in and out of traffic just before the collision at around 6:57 a.m., and despite the bus driver, a 62-year-old man, being unharmed, the pedestrian died at the scene. The highway was closed for several hours as authorities investigated, with dark and foggy conditions potentially contributing to the crash. Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a fatal collision also took place in Montreal involving an 18-year-old pedestrian struck by a city bus, who was pronounced dead on the scene. Additionally, in Fremont, California, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a bus, with preliminary reports suggesting they were also struck by other vehicles. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding pedestrian safety across various regions.
