Camille Pirrone-Hess, a 59-year-old former office manager from Depew, was sentenced to 1 1/3 to 4 years in prison for stealing $719,122.41 from her employer, Lancaster Tanks and Steel Products, over seven years. Between July 2016 and August 2023, she made over 2,000 unauthorized purchases using the company credit card to fund her personal lifestyle, including vacations, event tickets, and her child's college tuition. The theft was discovered by the business owners during a review of credit card statements after deciding to sell the company. Acting Erie County District Attorney Mike Keane expressed disappointment at the lenient sentence, advocating for a maximum of 15 years due to the significant financial harm caused to the victims. Despite pleading guilty and agreeing to repay the stolen amount, Pirrone-Hess has yet to make any restitution payments. The investigation was led by Confidential Criminal Investigator Natalie Perez and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Christopher P. Jurusik.
