Judge Orders Diplo Accuser to Reveal Identity

A federal judge has ruled that the woman accusing DJ Diplo of revenge porn must reveal her identity to proceed with her lawsuit, which she filed anonymously as 'Jane Doe.' The plaintiff alleges that Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, filmed their sexual encounters and shared them on Snapchat without her consent. Judge Mónica Ramírez Almadani stated that the accuser failed to demonstrate a legal need for anonymity, emphasizing the public interest in open judicial proceedings. While the allegations are sensitive, the judge noted that they do not meet the high-risk criteria for anonymity. Diplo has denied the accusations and previously filed a countersuit for defamation, arguing that he cannot adequately defend himself without knowing the accuser's identity.
