(G)I-DLE Faces Criticism for Red Cross Emblem
(G)I-DLE has faced backlash for wearing outfits featuring the Red Cross emblem during their performance of 'Klaxon' on KBS2's 'Music Bank' on July 19. The use of the emblem is legally protected under the Korean Red Cross Act, and the organization confirmed that they did not receive prior approval from the group’s agency, CUBE Entertainment. While the Korean Red Cross stated that the misuse appeared unintentional, they plan to send a notice informing the agency about the legal implications and requesting measures to prevent recurrence. CUBE Entertainment has since issued an apology and committed to addressing the issue. Moreover, the provocative nature of the outfits sparked criticism regarding sexual objectification, adding to the controversy surrounding the performance.
