Phoenix Suns Sign Rookie Koby Brea to Two-Way Contract

The Phoenix Suns have signed second-round pick Koby Brea to a two-way contract, allowing him to split time between the NBA team and their G League affiliate, the Valley Suns. Brea, a 22-year-old guard who played four years at Dayton before transferring to Kentucky, was selected 41st overall in the 2025 NBA Draft and is known for his elite three-point shooting, having averaged 11.6 points per game with a 43.5% three-point percentage in his final college season. His signing is part of a significant seven-team trade that brought several players to Phoenix, including Khaman Maluach and Rasheer Fleming. With Brea's deal, the Suns currently have 14 standard contracts, leaving just one open roster spot, but this could increase pending the Bradley Beal buyout, which would also provide the team with additional financial flexibility. The Suns rookies, including Brea, are set to debut in the NBA Summer League, starting with a game against the Washington Wizards.
