Adele Rennie, a 33-year-old former nurse, has been sentenced to 28 months in jail for stalking a woman after creating a fake Tinder profile as a male pharmacist. This incident, which occurred in August 2023, marks Rennie's third conviction for similar offenses involving catfishing and harassment. After exchanging phone numbers with her victim, Rennie sent flowers to her home and later cancelled their date, leading the woman to suspect she had been deceived. Following this, the victim received a series of unwanted communications, including explicit images and personal photographs taken without her consent. The court has mandated that Rennie be supervised for 12 months post-release and placed her on the sex offenders register for ten years.
