Ani DiFranco, Stone Gossard Release New Track 'The Message'

Ani DiFranco and Pearl Jam's Stone Gossard have reunited for a new song titled 'The Message,' following their previous collaboration on 'Disorders' in 2022. The track features the same lineup from their earlier work and showcases a rich musical landscape with DiFranco's powerful vocals complemented by Gossard's guitar and contributions from other musicians. DiFranco is currently on her 'Unprecedented Sh!t: The Tour,' which marks her return to live performances after her Broadway stint in 'Hadestown,' and includes sold-out shows across the U.S. and Europe. The documentary '1-800-ON-HER-OWN,' which provides a personal look at her life as an artist and mother, is set to screen in select theaters this spring. Gossard praised the collaboration, highlighting the fun and transcendence of DiFranco's vocals during the creative process. Both artists are preparing for significant tours, with Pearl Jam's North American tour starting in April 2025.
