Kehlani Kali Uchis EJAE Honored at 2025 ASCAP Women Behind Music in Los Angeles

The 17th annual ASCAP Women Behind the Music event will take place on November 12, 2025, in Los Angeles, honoring singer-songwriters Kehlani, Kali Uchis, and rising star EJAE. ASCAP Executive Vice President Nicole George-Middleton highlighted these honorees as boundary-pushing women whose creative successes have propelled them to the top of the charts and serve as inspiration for future generations. Kehlani is a five-time Grammy nominee with over five billion streams and multiple gold and platinum certifications, while Kali Uchis recently released critically acclaimed albums, including "Orquídeas," which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. EJAE, known for her work on the "KPop Demon Hunters" project, co-wrote the hit single "Golden," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks and is a contender for an Oscar nomination. The event will also feature music by DJ C Devone and continue ASCAP's tradition of recognizing extraordinary women in the music industry, joining past honorees like Coco Jones, Kandi Burruss, and Kelly Rowland. George-Middleton will personally present the awards, celebrating these artists' contributions across diverse genres.
