Santa Ana Crash Kills Five, Community Seeks Support
A tragic single-vehicle crash in Santa Ana late Saturday night resulted in the deaths of five individuals and left one teenager hospitalized. The crash occurred around 11:25 p.m. when a speeding Lexus sedan, driven by 18-year-old Emmanuel Gonzalez, lost control and struck a tree near Segerstrom Avenue and Griset Place, killing four people at the scene. The victims, mostly teenagers, have been identified as Arely Robles, 20; Natalia Vidal Zarate, 17; Jacqueline Torres Zarate, 16; and a 13-year-old girl who later succumbed to her injuries. A 15-year-old girl, Arlene Robles, remains in stable condition in the hospital. Authorities are investigating if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors to the crash. The Santa Ana community has been left devastated, with families seeking support for medical and funeral expenses.
