Cyclist Killed in Bellingham Crash; Juvenile Charged

A 60-year-old male cyclist from Woonsocket, Rhode Island, was killed after being struck by a vehicle driven by a juvenile from Sutton in Bellingham, Massachusetts, on Monday afternoon. Emergency responders treated the cyclist at the scene on South Main Street before he was pronounced dead at Landmark Medical Center. The juvenile driver remained at the scene and was evaluated at Milford Regional Medical Center. The driver has been charged with motor vehicle homicide, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation. The crash resulted in the temporary closure of South Main Street and is under investigation by Bellingham Police, the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council, and the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
