Southridge Girls Basketball Team Aims for Metro League Championship

The Southridge girls basketball team has been performing exceptionally well this season, currently leading the Metro League with a record of 6-1 and striving for a league championship. Coach Michael Bergmann noted the team's improvement, particularly as younger players are starting to gel together effectively. Junior forward/center Addison White emphasized the team's progress and commitment to winning each game step-by-step. The Skyhawks recently secured their sixth consecutive victory with a significant win over Westview. Meanwhile, the Amboy Lady Clippers are set to compete in the Peru St. Bede Class 1A Girls’ Regional Basketball Tournament, starting on February 15. Their first game will be against the winner of another regional matchup, with hopes of advancing to the sectional championship.
