Meanwhile, the Conservative Party has expressed skepticism over Labour’s ambitious carbon emission reduction targets, calling for clarity on potential impacts on living standards. Shadow energy secretary Claire Coutinho highlighted that while the UK has made significant progress in reducing emissions, it must be cautious about further commitments without clear benefits for the public.
