Multiple US Transit Agencies Adjust Service for Labor Day

Multiple transit agencies across the U.S. are adjusting their service schedules for Labor Day, Monday, September 1. Pittsburgh Regional Transit, Montgomery County's Ride On buses, Waukesha Metro Transit, and Lane Transit District will operate on Sunday or holiday schedules, with various routes reduced or suspended and customer service offices closed or operating with limited hours. The Port Authority's PATH trains in New Jersey will run on a modified Saturday schedule, with the Hoboken station closed for urgent track repairs and free shuttle buses provided to alternate stations. Parking will be free in select areas such as Bethesda, Silver Spring, and Wheaton, Maryland, while some commuter services, including MARC trains and certain MTA commuter buses, will not operate. Riders are advised to check their local transit agency’s website or customer service for detailed information and plan accordingly for the holiday.
