Avalanche Shut Out Devils 4-0
Scott Wedgewood led the Colorado Avalanche to a 4-0 victory over the New Jersey Devils, securing his seventh career shutout by making 25 saves. Ross Colton, recovering from an earlier injury, scored the opening goal, while Logan O'Connor, Artturi Lehkonen, and Parker Kelly also contributed goals for the Avalanche. Acquired from the Nashville Predators on November 29, Wedgewood improved his record against his former team, the Devils, to 4-0. Despite top scorers Nathan Mackinnon and Cale Makar being kept off the score sheet, Colorado's second and third lines managed to fill the gap. The Devils struggled offensively, failing to score and managing only two shots on goal during the second period. This marks Colorado’s fourth shutout of the season and the fifth time New Jersey has been shut out this season.
