CME Group Reports Q3 Revenue Decline Amid Earnings Beat
CME Group reported Q3 2025 adjusted EPS of $2.68, topping consensus of about $2.63, while GAAP profit was roughly $900 million (about $2.49 per share). Revenue declined about 3% year‑over‑year to $1.54 billion, roughly in line with Street estimates. Market data revenue reached a record $203 million, but clearing and transaction fees and average daily volumes slid year‑over‑year, pressuring growth. The company entered the quarter with about $2.6 billion in cash, $3.4 billion of debt, and has paid roughly $3.5 billion in dividends year‑to‑date; it has returned more than $29.5 billion to shareholders since 2012. Shares have outperformed the market year‑to‑date, and investors will be watching management commentary on the upcoming conference call for guidance on sustainability and the near‑term outlook.
