A power outage caused by a heat wave forced the cancellation of Sunday night's concert at the Hollywood Bowl, which was set to feature Vance Joy, Grouplove, and Tiny Habits as part of a KCRW Festival event. The Hollywood Bowl announced that tickets for the canceled show would be valid for a rescheduled date, which has yet to be confirmed. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and Southern California Edison reported numerous outages affecting thousands of customers across the region. LADWP indicated that crews are working around the clock to restore power, prioritizing those who have been without electricity for more than 30 hours. The National Weather Service warned that the extreme heat conditions would persist through Monday.
