SNL 50th Anniversary Special and Events Announced

NBC is commemorating the 50th anniversary of 'Saturday Night Live' (SNL) with a series of specials, culminating in a star-studded anniversary event. The first SNL episode, originally aired on October 11, 1975, with host George Carlin, will be re-broadcast on February 15, 2025, followed by the 'SNL50: The Anniversary Special' on February 16. Leading up to the event, NBC has released documentaries such as 'SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night' and 'Ladies & Gentlemen… 50 Years of SNL Music', highlighting the show's history and legendary musical performances. Additionally, 'SNL50: The Homecoming Concert' will stream live on February 14, featuring musical acts like Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, and The Roots. This celebration marks SNL's enduring cultural impact over five decades.
