Penn State Wrestling Schedule; Northern Colorado Hires Ware
Penn State wrestling will open the 2025–26 season Nov. 14 at 7:00 p.m. ET against Oklahoma and has released a full schedule that includes home duals with Lehigh, Rutgers, Indiana, Nebraska, Ohio State and Princeton, with many matches expected to air on the Big Ten Network. The Nittany Lions return as defending national champions after a 15–0 2024–25 season and a 13th NCAA team title in 2025, with Carter Starocci earning his fifth individual crown. Northern Colorado hired Teyon Ware to replace Troy Nickerson, will hold a Blue and Gold scrimmage Oct. 31, opens the season Nov. 8–9 on the road at NC State and North Carolina, and — despite several departures including past All‑Americans — returns local standouts Dominick Serrano and Mikai Alirez and hosts its first home dual Dec. 19 vs. Campbell. In college football, No. 21 Notre Dame (2–2) hosts Boise State (3–1) in a “green out” this weekend; Notre Dame has rebounded with consecutive blowout wins while Boise State, without RB Ashton Jeanty, enters as a sizable underdog and both coaching staffs warned against underestimating the opponent. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney called his team’s 1–3 start a “coaching failure” but praised the squad’s positive response ahead of UNC, and Syracuse (10–3 in Fran Brown’s first year) faces a challenging upcoming schedule with a projected depth chart released for the SMU game.
