Dewsbury Town Centre Revitalisation Nears Second Phase Launch

The revitalization of Dewsbury town centre is progressing as the second phase of improvements around Dewsbury Town Hall begins. This phase includes resurfacing with stone and granite paving, planting more trees, and pedestrianizing the southern part of Town Hall Way to enhance safety and accessibility. The town hall will be closed on April 4 and 5 to facilitate these works. Previous phases have already introduced new parking spaces and adjusted traffic flow around the area. The project also incorporates artistic paving that pays homage to Dewsbury's railway history, with completion expected by winter 2025. Councillor Graham Turner emphasized the commitment to creating a more beautiful and accessible town centre for residents and visitors alike.
