Indiana Couple Sentenced 25, 45 Years For Death of Toddler Oaklee Snow

Madison Marshall and Roan Waters were sentenced to 25 and 45 years in prison, respectively, for their roles in the death of 1-year-old Oaklee Snow, whose body was found in a dresser drawer in an abandoned Indiana home. The couple had abducted Oaklee and her infant brother from their father's home in Oklahoma and lived in a drug house before abandoning the children. Waters pleaded guilty to multiple counts of neglect resulting in death and other neglect-related charges, while Marshall pleaded guilty to neglect of a dependent resulting in death and agreed to testify against Waters. Oaklee died after being abused by Waters, who reportedly threw her on the floor and physically assaulted her when she cried for food. Despite the severity of the crime, murder charges were dropped as part of plea deals.
