Royal Caribbean, Celestyal Announce Major Ship Upgrades

Royal Caribbean will upgrade Ovation of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas beginning in early 2026, introducing new suites, revamped pool decks, expanded dining choices, and enhanced entertainment under the Royal Amplified program. Ovation will feature a refreshed pool with private casitas, new dining venues, and expanded casino options; Harmony will offer a Caribbean-inspired pool deck, the fleet's largest casino, and new restaurants; Liberty will debut a reimagined pool deck, escape room, and additional culinary experiences, with itineraries scheduled for both Europe and the Caribbean. Celestyal Discovery has completed a major winter refit, adding 47 new cabins and boosting premium capacity by over 50%, ahead of its Arabian Gulf debut in December 2025. The redesign was influenced by destinations visited and Greek design, enhancing comfort while maintaining small-ship charm. These updates are part of a cruise industry trend toward investing in ship refurbishments and elevated guest experiences to meet growing demand. Other lines, including Viking, Variety Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas, are also launching new itineraries, luxury suites, and fleet upgrades for 2026 and beyond.
