Netflix to Release Avicii Documentary I'm Tim

Netflix is set to release a documentary titled 'Avicii: I’m Tim' on December 31, focusing on the life of the iconic DJ and producer, Avicii, whose real name was Tim Bergling. The film, narrated by Avicii himself using pre-recorded interviews, will provide an intimate look at his rise from a shy boy in Sweden to an EDM legend, featuring exclusive footage and interviews with his family, friends, and colleagues. Alongside the documentary, Netflix will also stream Avicii’s final performance at Ushuaïa Ibiza, which holds special significance as it was his last show before he stopped touring to focus on his mental health. The documentary aims to highlight both his remarkable achievements and the pressures he faced within the music industry, culminating in his tragic passing in 2018. This release follows a photobook and biography dedicated to Avicii, as efforts continue to honor his legacy and raise awareness about mental health issues. The film is directed by Henrik Burman and produced by Björn Tjärnberg, following a 2017 documentary titled 'Avicii: True Stories.'
