Stashwick humorously suggested his character might return as an Emergency Engineering Hologram, or "Shawlogram." Meanwhile, Oded Fehr discussed his role as Admiral Charles Vance in the upcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, highlighting a shift back to the franchise's optimistic roots with new characters like Holly Hunter's Captain Nahla Ake. Additionally, Rick Berman, a longtime Star Trek producer, revealed that launching Star Trek: The Next Generation was a significant risk due to skepticism around sequels, science fiction, and syndication at the time.
