Detroit Officer Faces Second Domestic Violence Charge

Detroit police officer Louis Allen Wilson, 47, has been charged with misdemeanor domestic violence in connection to an incident on October 22, 2024, where he allegedly threatened to 'execute' a woman at his home in Harrison Township. The victim escaped to a neighbor’s house and called the police. Wilson was arraigned on October 23 and received a $5,000 bond, with a pre-trial hearing set for November 25. This marks Wilson's second domestic violence charge, following a previous guilty plea in 2018. Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido emphasized the seriousness of domestic violence charges, stating that no one is above the law, and justice will be served irrespective of a person's profession. Domestic violence incidents in Macomb County are reportedly on the rise, with over 2,000 cases in the first seven months of 2024.
