North Vancouver Police Seek Cheese Theft Suspect
North Vancouver RCMP are investigating an attempted theft of nearly $13,000 worth of cheese from Whole Foods, which occurred on September 29 at approximately 4 a.m. Officers on patrol discovered a cart full of cheese and witnessed a man fleeing from a nearby stairwell upon their approach. Evidence suggests that the suspect had broken into the store and was in the midst of stealing the cheese, which could not be sold after being removed from refrigeration. Constable Mansoor Sahak emphasized the proactive nature of their policing efforts to deter crime in high-risk areas. The police have released CCTV footage of the suspect and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers.
