Kraft Heinz Recalls 367,800 Pounds Turkey Bacon Nationwide Over Listeria Risk
Kraft Heinz Foods Company has recalled approximately 367,812 pounds of fully cooked Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon Original products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled turkey bacon was produced between April 24 and June 11, 2025, and includes various package sizes with specific UPC codes and use-by dates. These products were distributed nationwide in the U.S. and exported to the British Virgin Islands and Hong Kong. Although no confirmed illnesses have been reported, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) warns that listeriosis, caused by Listeria, poses serious health risks especially for older adults, pregnant women, newborns, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Symptoms of listeriosis include fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions, sometimes preceded by gastrointestinal symptoms. Consumers who have purchased the affected products are advised to discard them or return them for a refund and to contact healthcare providers if they experience symptoms.
