Adding to the family's hardships, Williams' mother-in-law, Gwen, is battling cervical cancer, lupus, and Parkinson's simultaneously. Despite recently suffering from a virus himself, Williams remains committed to delivering strong performances on stage, though he admits that outside the concerts he has little energy to give due to these personal struggles. He emphasized the emotional toll these real-world issues have on him and his wife Ayda Field, and the mutual need for protection within the family.
