Apollo Acquires Argo Infrastructure Partners for $6 Billion

Apollo Global Management has announced its acquisition of Argo Infrastructure Partners in a cash and stock deal valued at approximately $6 billion, intended to enhance Apollo's Sustainability & Infrastructure platform. Founded in 2013, Argo specializes in mid-market infrastructure assets across sectors like digital infrastructure, renewable energy, and utilities, managing a portfolio that includes significant power generation and utility services. The acquisition is expected to be modestly accretive to Apollo's earnings by 2026 and will bring over 20 professionals from Argo into the Apollo team. Apollo's co-heads of infrastructure, Harry Seekings and Olivia Wassenaar, emphasized the strategic alignment and complementary nature of Argo's assets to Apollo’s existing investment strategies. The transaction is projected to close in Q2 2025, pending regulatory approvals. This move reflects Apollo's ongoing commitment to expanding its influence in sectors poised for growth, particularly in energy transition and digital transformation.
