Williams F1 Unveils 2025 Car Plans

Williams Racing will unveil their 2025 Formula One car, the FW47, at Silverstone on February 14, with a unique livery for the event. Team principal James Vowles emphasized the team's ongoing restructuring efforts and realistic timelines for competitiveness, stating that while they hope to improve, a race-winning car may not be feasible until 2028. Carlos Sainz joins the team from Ferrari, and both he and Alex Albon are expected to lead the charge in what Vowles describes as a pivotal season ahead of significant regulation changes in 2026. Despite high hopes, Vowles cautioned that 2025 might still be challenging, reflecting on the difficulties the team faced in the previous season, where they finished ninth. The team aims to leverage upcoming regulations to return to competitiveness, highlighting the importance of laying a solid foundation for future success. Testing will commence in Bahrain on February 26, with the season opener in Melbourne on March 16.
