Major U.S. Closures from Crashes and Construction

Major road and bridge closures are affecting numerous states due to both planned construction and severe accidents. A deadly crash has shut down multiple lanes on I-95 in Flagler County, Florida, with authorities investigating and no reopening time announced. All northbound lanes of Maine Turnpike between Gray and New Gloucester are closed after a crash, causing significant delays. In Michigan, eastbound I-94 near Jackson is closed for a second day as crews respond to identical semitrailer crashes and conduct environmental cleanup. Pennsylvania’s Parkway East will be fully closed this weekend for sign replacement and maintenance, testing plans for a more extensive 25-day closure next year. Additional closures and lane restrictions have been reported in Tennessee, West Virginia, and Arkansas due to crashes and ongoing infrastructure work.
