Man Charged After Firework Explosion at Rivers Casino

Jeremy Allen Hartman, 41, was arrested at Pittsburgh's Rivers Casino after allegedly attempting to steal up to $4,000 worth of alcohol from a closed restaurant and setting off a commercial-grade firework in a bathroom, causing minor injuries to an employee. While being escorted by security, Hartman requested to use the restroom and ignited the firework inside a toilet. A search of his vehicle in the casino's parking garage uncovered additional commercial-grade fireworks, but no active explosives were found. Hartman faces multiple charges, including arson, theft, reckless endangerment, risking a catastrophe, and criminal mischief.
