Brandon Saad, a two-time Stanley Cup champion and former forward for the Chicago Blackhawks, has signed with the Vegas Golden Knights after mutually terminating his contract with the St. Louis Blues. The decision came as Saad, who was placed on waivers, chose to forgo the remaining $5.4 million of his contract to avoid being sent to the AHL, prioritizing staying in the NHL. Saad, who has had a challenging season with 16 points in 43 games, quickly signed with the Golden Knights on a one-year, $1.5 million deal. The 32-year-old brings significant experience to Vegas, having scored 260 goals in 906 NHL games.
