Nintendo Confirms Metroid Prime 4 Release December 2025

Nintendo has officially announced that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will launch on December 4, 2025, for both the original Switch and the upcoming Switch 2. The announcement came during a lengthy Nintendo Direct celebrating the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., where a new trailer showcased Samus Aran exploring open-world alien landscapes on a new sci-fi motorbike called Vi-O-La. This marks the end of a lengthy development period that began in 2017, which included a restart in 2019 after Nintendo deemed the initial progress unsatisfactory. The game features new gameplay elements, including psychic powers and a red suit for Samus, with the antagonist being Sylux, a rival bounty hunter. Ahead of the game's release, Nintendo will launch amiibo figures of Samus both on foot and riding Vi-O-La on November 6, followed by a Sylux amiibo on the game's launch day.
