Ukraine Unveils Tryzub Laser Weapon Amidst Conflict

Ukraine has announced the development of a new laser weapon, called the Tryzub, capable of shooting down aircraft at altitudes over 2 kilometers, according to Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces. This domestically produced weapon marks a significant advancement in Ukraine's military capabilities amidst ongoing tensions with Russia. Efforts are underway to enhance its capabilities, and the weapon's existence has not been independently verified yet. Additionally, Ukraine is developing 'mother drones' that can carry two smaller drones, enhancing their combat strategy. The UK has hinted at potentially supplying Ukraine with its own laser weapon, the DragonFire, which is set to be operational by 2027.
