Doug Aldrich, guitarist for The Dead Daisies and former member of bands like Whitesnake and Dio, has been diagnosed with treatable throat cancer and is scheduled for surgery this week. Due to his condition, Aldrich will miss the upcoming European tour, which begins on November 1 in the Netherlands, and will be temporarily replaced by Reb Beach, a longtime friend and fellow Whitesnake alum.
