Marshall, Prospect Heights Men Charged with Drug Trafficking, Gun Crimes

A federal grand jury has indicted 21-year-old Deontrae McIntosh from Marshall, Wisconsin, on multiple charges related to drug distribution and firearm possession as a felon. The charges include distributing cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl in September and October 2024, along with possessing a firearm in connection with drug trafficking. McIntosh faces significant prison time if convicted, with potential sentences reaching up to 20 years for each drug-related count and up to 15 years for firearm possession as a felon. In a related case, 42-year-old Efrain Jacobo from Prospect Heights, Illinois, was indicted for trafficking firearms and drugs, including methamphetamines and cocaine, during undercover operations last fall. Jacobo allegedly sold weapons and narcotics to an undercover officer, leading to the seizure of over 150 kilograms of methamphetamine and other drugs. Both cases highlight ongoing federal efforts to combat drug trafficking and gun violence in the region.
