Lloyds Tour of Britain Opens Suffolk, Longest Stage in Warwickshire

The 2025 Lloyds Tour of Britain Men cycling race will feature multiple stages across Suffolk and Warwickshire, showcasing picturesque routes and challenging climbs. Suffolk will host the opening two stages with a 161.4-kilometre stage starting in Woodbridge and finishing in Southwold, followed by a 169.3-kilometre stage beginning and ending in Stowmarket, passing through towns like Lavenham, Sudbury, and Dedham Vale. Warwickshire will host the race's longest stage on September 5, covering 116.2 miles from Atherstone to Burton Dassett Hills Country Park, traversing all five districts and featuring six categorized king of the mountains climbs, the most in this year's race. The route includes notable climbs such as Friz Hill, Fant Hill, and Sun Rising Hill, with the finishing circuit used previously in 2019, known for its demanding ascents. Local officials, including Warwickshire County Council leader George Finch, have expressed enthusiasm about the race highlighting the region's unique character and encouraging public support. The event promises to attract cycling fans eager to witness world-class competitors navigating scenic and challenging terrain across these counties.
