In response to the severe pothole crisis exacerbated by heavy rainfall in Pune, Union Minister Mohol has announced a swift plan to fill all potholes within 4-5 days, mobilizing teams across the city's ward offices. The Pune traffic police have identified 554 critical potholes contributing to traffic congestion at major junctions, with a commitment to expedite repairs in collaboration with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). To enhance road maintenance capabilities, the PMC is establishing two new hot mix plants to ensure a steady supply of asphalt, as the aging plant in Yerawada struggles to meet demand.
