2024 Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards

The 2024 Rolex World Sailor of the Year awards recognized top athletes at a ceremony in Singapore, honoring Marit Bouwmeester, Diego Botin, and Florian Trittel for their remarkable achievements, including Olympic gold medals at Paris 2024. The awards were determined by a record 49,964 public votes alongside an expert panel. Young World Sailor of the Year titles were awarded to Ewa Lewandowska and Max Maeder, both of whom have excelled in their respective categories. Lewandowska shone with gold in the mixed 29er at the Youth Sailing World Championships, while 17-year-old Maeder is noted for his numerous titles in Formula Kite. Additional accolades included the 11th Hour Racing Sustainability Award for Winds of Change and the inaugural World Sailing Technology Award for NLcomp. Ruggero Tita and Caterina Banti were recognized as Team of the Year, solidifying their status with another Olympic victory in the Nacra 17 class.
