Suspected Deputy Shooter Crashes Motorcycle During High-Speed 210 Freeway Chase
A motorcyclist suspected of shooting a San Bernardino County sheriff's deputy fled on the 210 Freeway after the shooting incident in Rancho Cucamonga. The suspect reached speeds over 120 mph while weaving through traffic before crashing into a sedan near Campus Avenue, ejecting the rider and causing the motorcycle to flip. Helicopter and aerial footage showed the suspect cartwheeling through the air and landing on his back, with a gun visible nearby. The injured suspect was airlifted to a hospital, and the wounded deputy was also transported for medical treatment, though their conditions remain undisclosed. The incident led to the closure of eastbound lanes on the 210 Freeway between Mountain Avenue and Campus Avenue. Authorities responded swiftly to the armed threat, and the man fired at deputies upon their arrival, injuring one officer before fleeing.
