Tigers Reinstate Parker Meadows, DFA Cusick

The Detroit Tigers, who currently hold the best record in baseball, have reinstated center fielder Parker Meadows from the 60-day injured list after a 100-day absence caused by a nerve injury in his upper arm during spring training. Meadows, instrumental in the Tigers' 2024 postseason run, returns as the team's everyday center fielder and leadoff hitter against right-handed pitchers. To make room on the roster, the Tigers optioned Justyn-Henry Malloy to Triple-A Toledo and designated pitcher Ryan Cusick for assignment. Meadows completed a strong rehab assignment at Triple-A, demonstrating his readiness to return. His activation comes at a pivotal time, as the outfield has been affected by injuries to key players.
