Kansas man dies in early-morning I-135 crash

A fatal traffic accident occurred early Tuesday on northbound I-135 in Wichita, Kansas, involving a 2006 Pontiac Torrent and a 2014 Hyundai Elantra. Jeffery T. Galbreath, 39, of Wichita, was driving the Pontiac, which rear-ended the Hyundai driven by Pamela V. Jean Reyes, 29, causing the Pontiac to cross lanes twice, hitting both the inside and outside barrier walls before stopping. Galbreath was pronounced dead at the scene, while Reyes was unharmed. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, which happened near the exit to North Hydraulic Avenue. The accident led to temporary closure and traffic delays in the area as emergency services responded. The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the incident further.
